After one appointment with Dr Berookim he figured out the cause and prescribed a medication that changed my life.  My previous doctor of over 15 yrs had never spent as much time or asked the right questions. Dr Berookim is brilliant and advanced.  He does not rush his appointments and knows what to ask and tests to perform.  I am so happy I found him. Recommend him to anyone with GI issues His staff is wonderful as well. He cares. He went out of his way to call his colleagues at Cedars Hospital and personally referred me so I could receive faster care, since my insurance is partnered with them. I feel so lucky to have met him. He carefully reviewed all my medical records, listened patiently to both me and my husband, and provided thoughtful guidance during this very difficult time. Meeting Dr. Berookim truly lifted my spirits, and I am grateful to God for him and his family’s health. He is that good. We recently had procedures and his staff (yes, all of them) are equally as exceptional as he is. He is so thorough, professional, meticulous, attentive and compassionate in his care. He is extremely talented with a bedside manner that allows him to explain very technical aspects of my care to an everyday action plan. We spent most of my first appointment talking, which is exactly what I needed. I made more progress with him in one week than I did with other GIs in over 2 years. Other GIs put me on 4x the recommended daily dose of meds and sent me to a breathing class (true story). Dr. Berookim properly diagnosed me within a matter of days. He's one of the best.
